From the Pastor for May
Greetings from your Koinonia Leadership Team at Bethlehem! Our members include Margaret Drafall, Marti Jernberg, Cindy Lange, Carin Manbeck, Pastor Art Puotinen, and Sue Quick. We are eager to hear from you about our church and we invite you to share your ideas and insights. You are very important to our discovery process.
Prior to Easter we hosted two workshops for BLC Council members and several other church leaders. We are excited now to invite BLC members to participate in focus group discussions on our BLC Mission and Vision. Resources from the Koinonia Leadership team training sessions will be used and participants can attend a session(s) that is part of a regular meeting time for a designated group. The Interested Member group is especially open to new and existing members that are not part of a mentioned group.The first meeting features a DVD presentation on “Maintenance vs. Missional Congregations” by David Paap of Stephen Ministries of St. Louis. The second meeting includes group discussion of several questions relating to BLC mission and vision. Overall time commitment should amount to 1.5 hours to view the video and complete the discussion. One or more members of the KL team will lead each session
Note: If there is no second meeting for your group, it means the scheduled first meeting will include both elements. If you have a scheduling conflict, please feel free to participate with a different group at a more convenient time.) Thank you for your participation!
